"I'm truly glad that I was able to achieve a career-high performance in this milestone season, the final year of Sapporo Dome. My professional career actually started at Sapporo Dome, but I think I have more bitter memories there than happy ones. However, I always played with the sole desire to somehow repay the support of the fans who came to the stadium. It's regrettable that we couldn't win the championship at Sapporo Dome again, but being able to play in front of a full stadium of fans for the first time in three years is a memory I'll cherish forever. Next season, I want to work hard so that we can share the joy of winning the championship with everyone in Hokkaido."
