On November 10th (Fri), 17th (Fri), and 24th (Fri), we will be holding the "Escon Field Architecture Tour" led by key members of Obayashi Corporation, the company that designed and constructed Escon Field Hokkaido. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the people in charge and responsible for the practical aspects of the project, from the stadium's design concept to the cutting-edge construction techniques.
For those in the construction and architecture industry, architecture students, and anyone who wants to learn more about Esconfield, please take this opportunity to join the "Esconfield Architecture Tour."
Please note that if there are many applicants, a lottery will be held.
This approximately 3-hour tour of Escon Field includes commentary from professionals who were involved in the actual construction. For small groups of around 20 people, Obayashi Corporation staff will provide a detailed introduction to Escon Field. You'll learn about the design concept, the mechanisms, design, and construction of features such as the retractable roof, glass walls, and natural grass (cold-climate sports turf). There are also plenty of special experiences, including access to areas normally off-limits.
