The results of the player voting for the "Mynavi All-Star Game 2024" were announced today, July 4th (Thursday), and from the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, pitcher Fukuya Yamazaki was selected in the pitcher category, catcher Yuya Tamiya in the catcher category, and outfielder Masanori Manami in the outfielder category. All three players had already been selected by fan voting, and in the player voting, Yamazaki and Tamiya were selected for the first time, while Manami was selected for the second consecutive year.
This year's All-Star Game will be held in two parts: Game 1 at Escon Field Hokkaido on Tuesday, July 23rd, and Game 2 at Meiji Jingu Stadium on Wednesday, July 24th.
"I am honored to have been selected in both the fan vote and the player vote. There are many good pitchers who can throw fastballs, so I hope to show my own style of pitching, with a good mix of speeds and rhythms."
"I'm honored to be chosen by players I always compete against, and it's a different kind of joy than being voted by fans. I want to make a memorable hit or a 'Yua Beam' so that many baseball fans will remember my name and face."
"I am very honored to have been voted for by fellow professional baseball players. I was selected from among many good players, so I will do my best to play in a way that does not bring shame to them."
