The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters held their "FOOTSTEP FUND" event in Hakodate City on Saturday, July 4th, as part of their social contribution activities.
This time, the event was held at the Hakodate Goryokaku Park walking course, coinciding with a farm team official game. At the starting point, Fighters Girl Chiba Shizuku and Sato Yume presented participants with original Hakodate Goryokaku postcards and other gifts, sending them off with smiles.
In addition, two representatives from HOKKAIDO ADAPTIVE SPORT, the recipient of the donations, also participated. Participants enjoyed walking the 3.2km Goryokaku Park walking course at their own pace.
This activity aims to promote health and contribute to society while having fun through walking. Every 10 steps taken by a participant earns 1 yen, which helps someone else take a step.
Since its launch in 2015, we have accumulated a total of 49,517,216 steps, and have donated wheelchairs and other equipment to disability sports organizations in Hokkaido.
The footprints left by the various participants in this event amounted to 117,976 steps, and 11,797 yen will be donated to support the activities of the general incorporated association HOKKAIDO ADAPTIVE SPORTS.
